TPO - From November 12, road traffic police, Quang Ninh police, began piloting methods of measuring alcohol concentration in the test, treatment of driving alcohol and beer.

After 7 days (from 12 to 19/11) Quang Ninh police inspected 1,740 cases (including more than 1,400 cars), found 103 cases violate the alcohol concentration.

The CSGT fined more than 547 million, seized 103 vehicles, deprived 96 driving license.

The National Traffic Safety Committee plans to expand the inspection to five new provinces, including Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh. The implementation period will be before the Lunar New Year 2014.

Quang Ninh is the first locality to experimentally set up a fixed key to check and penalize drivers using alcohol and beer.
